Plant Functional Genomics Lab of NUS

National University of Singapore (NUS) is a research-intensive university with an entrepreneurial dimension, NUS is ranked consistently as one of the world's top universities. Plant Functional Genomics Lab’s interests are to investigate gene regulatory networks involved in the control of reproductive development and hormone signaling in plant. Plant Functional Genomics Lab has done an excellent job on plant research and published many papers in journals with high impact factor.

As NUS is based in Singapore, we have chances to visit them several times and meet with Dr. Fang Lei and Dr. Edward, staff of Plant Functional Genomics Lab NUS. The Plant Functional Genomics Lab NUS has been using 1 set of Swift Maxi Conventional Thermal Cycler and 1 set of Spectrum 48 Real Time PCR since 2007 for DNA amplification, Gene express level detection, etc.

The staff have extensive experience in the application of molecular biological studies and have years of experience in the usage of PCR thermal cyclers. Within the premises of Plant Functional Genomics Lab, there are a number of thermal cyclers from various brands and modes. They expressed their satisfaction with the stable performance and user friendly software of Esco thermal cycler, especially are pleased with that our Spectrum 48 real time PCR is a 100% open platform for all kinds of reagent and consumables.
