Support Stands

Esco laminar flow and biological safety cabinets are designed as bench top/tabletop units that are placed on a suitable table or stand in the laboratory for operation. Esco offers Support Stands for all its cabinets that complement their style and appearance. These accessories provide a complete floor-standing system with flexibility and ease of installation. Support stands are available in fixed height, telescoping and hydraulic adjustable versions. Cradle Type Support Stands are available for Esco’s Universal Animal Containment Workstation and Hospital Pharmacy Isolator. All Support Stands are fabricated of powder-coated steel and shipped unassembled. Assembly is simple and all required tools are provided with the accessory.

Nonadjustable support stands with leveling feet are advised for biosafety cabinets, as they prevent the cabinet from being relocated or moved without authorization. As any relocation or movement of a biosafety cabinet may alter the cabinet’s performance due to the changes in its environment, recertification of the cabinet is recommended..

Nonadjustable Support Stands

Non-adjustable support stands are available with leveling feet and/or caster wheels. They are manufactured in two heights:

• Nominal 28”/710mm, designed for a seated operator.
• Nominal 34”/838mm, suited to standing operators.

Support Stand with Leveling Feet

Features

• This stand is recommended for biological safety cabinets, as it prevents the cabinet from being relocated or moved without authorization. Recertification of the cabinet is recommended every time the cabinet is relocated or moved.
• Heavy duty stainless steel legs
• Maximum weight supported: 500 kg/1100 lb total
• +/-1.5”/38mm adjustment range for each leg, using a threaded foot
• White oven-baked epoxy powder-coated finish
• Available in two standard heights:
  • 29.0”/737mm (+/-1.5”/38mm)

Support Stands with Caster Wheels

Features

• Durable polyurethane caster wheels with 360 degree horizontal rotation for convenient relocation and movement of a cabinet.

• Toe operated total brake system on front wheels
• Maximum weight supported: 600kg/1323 1bs in total
• Available for all standard cabinet sizes
• Available in two standard heights:

  • 34”/838mm
• Cabinet can be bolted onto the stand for increased stability.

Telescoping Support Stands

Telescoping support stands allow manual adjustment of the product height by changing the length of the telescoping legs of the stand using a pin through predrilled holes in the leg segments. This accessory provides for adjustment of the height of a cabinet for sitting or standing users and everything between, allowing rapid redeployment for different tasks and users. The cabinet must be removed from a Telescoping Support Stand prior to adjustments.

Motorized Hydraulically Adjustable Support Stands

This accessory provides for adjustment of the height of a cabinet for sitting or standing users and everything between, allowing rapid redeployment for different tasks and users. The cabinet need not be removed from a Hydraulically Adjustable Support Stand during height adjustments.

Cradle type support stands are alternative support stands available for Esco’s Universal Animal Containment Workstation and Hospital Pharmacy Isolators. These are designed to facilitate the removal and replacement of these cabinets from/on the support stand for applications where this is a frequent requirement.
